Our Story
Dr. Alexandra Bersani, DO is a board-certified Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation Treatment Physician with over six years’ experience in clinical care, academic teaching, and community health project development in the traditional fee-for-service insurance health system.
She learned along the way while working intimately with patients in urban Allentown and rural Hamburg, PA that the health system causes bidirectional harm to both patients and providers. The current healthcare system, while a benefit for some, predominately functions through patient exclusion, lack of price transparency, and rushed, transactional relationships.
By removing insurance from the equation, starting Bersani Family Medicine offers a membership-based model that gives patients direct access to their physician with longer visits to foster trusted relationships, direct communication access for convenience, and clear, upfront pricing.
Dr. Bersani is returning to her roots in Upstate New York and refocusing on the relationships that drive her passion for primary care, relationships with patients and her community. Whether through telemedicine or in-home visits during our initial phase, she is committed to meeting patients where they are and providing care that is both convenient and deeply personalized.
